Jui­cy bee­troot com­bi­ned with chick­peas are the basis for this simp­le oven-baked dish. The pat­ties tas­te gre­at with pota­toes or sim­ply with a green salad.

Ingre­di­ents for approx. 7 patties: 

Pre­pa­ra­ti­on:

Drain the chick­peas and place them in a food pro­ces­sor. Add the coo­ked bee­troot, gar­lic pow­der, dried pars­ley, salt and a squeeze of lemon. Blend on high speed until smooth.

Form 7 pat­ties from the dough. Bake in a pre­hea­ted oven at 180°C for about 20 minu­tes, then turn and bake for ano­ther 20 minu­tes. You may want to use the grill func­tion for the last 5 minutes.
